Why should there not be paid ads on the sides of the school buses and/or all state vehicles that are not emergency vehicles? Many of the city buses have ads on the side of them, why not the same for school buses? Why not allow sponsorship of state landmarks such as schools or bridges? There should be limits on such sponsorships of course such as having sponsorships in good taste.

As the governor is being paid by both the DNC and the Commonwealth of Virginia, perhaps he could forego his Commonwealth salary as a gesture of solidarity with those in the Commonwealth struggling to make ends meet financially.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a wonderful idea and is holding a California Garage Sale this weeked as their state is flat broke.  Virginia also is in need of cash - why not get rid of all the clutter in our state facilities (cars, furniture, computers, etc.) as well as confiscated goods from police departments, and allow the citizens of Virginia to get a good deal on items that they need/want.  I think every state should do this.

The Florida Department of Social Services has a centralized agency that is used to process applications for benefits such as SNAP (Food Stamps), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, and other benefit services.

I have developed an idea/plan that would greatly benefit the Environment, US Citizens, Consumers, Retailers, Merchants, Manufacturers, and of course our Government including its many branches across the nation.  I would like to see Virginia as the pace setter for this. 

I could not find a reward or incentive program for the average citizen within this category to introduce my idea to the government. 

Increase the cigarette tax to more than $2.75 a pack.

Increase taxes on all alcohol significantly.

Please consider offering early retirement options to State employees who are perhaps 18 months out from being eligible for retirement under current State laws.  Many municipals have elected this option to realize significant savings.

I don't play the VA lottery, every penny counts. To stimulate the economy why don't we have more winners in  the lottery? Why can't we have a system that pays everyone who plays? One number you get this much, two numbers this much and so on. Why wait for the lottery to get to $160,000,000.00 to have one person or even 10 people win and still have a struggling economy, I don't get it I'm sure if everyone got a piece of the winnings, more people would play, I know I would.  Thanks Darren C Wilson
