The way to end this economic crisis in the United States is not to let our "leaders" bail out this and that company or bank, (see how well it's working?) When all they are going to do is to save that money for bonuses.  What a waste.  If washington is serious about it, why not send a stimulus check to those who deserve them of $500, 000 or $1,000,000.  It would be cheaper than the 700 billion they are wasting now, people would have money to pay off bills and mortages and some left to stimulate the rest of the economy.   Putting money in banks to encourage

In this time of revenue shortfall, why are we not collecting sales tax on internet and catalog sales from outside vendors?  I think some states have aggressively pursued  this and have been successful.  If we need to set up a different system, why not do it and help us get out of this state deficit?

As talk of falling housing prices, rising consumer debt and declining retail sales bring up worries about the nation’s economic health, more Americans feel additional stress and anxiety about their financial future .

Here are some helpful tips :

At State rest areas and private truck stops, where trucks stop and rest, there is always at least 1, 2, or 3 or more trucks RUNNING while the truck driver sleeps or rest.  In order to provide heat in the Winter while the trucker(s) sleep or air conditioning in the Summer, the truck has to RUN the engine to provide power.  This means that trucks are burning up diesel, driving up demand for diesel and high costs, while also polluting hte air, more than nnecessary.

Many states only require motor vehicles to use a single license plate to operate on public streets. Using two license plates doesn’t seem to be an issue of either public safety or police identification in these states. Therefore, why can’t Virginia reduce its cost of license plates by 50% by only requiring a single vehicle license plate?

As a resident of Northern Virginia, I notice an increasing number of cars with Maryland or DC plates in local driveways, in the parking lots of local townhouses and apartment complexes, and at the Metro parking lots.  It seems to me that these are folks who are skipping out in paying their fair share of the personal property tax on vehicles.  Many of these cars are the exprensive makes.  In this time of contrained state budgets, I suggest either a state employee or a county employee in a public service car (i.e.

Travel by State employees on State vehicles on State time should be reduced throughout all State agencies.  Many meetings and a lot of training could be conducted via email and teleconference.  Also, operators of State vehicles should obey the law.  Example:  On Thursday, August 21, 2008, at approximately 7:20 AM, I observed a tan Ford Focus, VA57-5145, with two occupants traveling approximately 70 mph on Hwy. 58 East of Capron, VA.  Speeding is a violation of law and a waste of fuel.

Has anyone done a detailed audit on school expenditures, social services, healthcare etc. that illegal immigrants are using in Virginia? I am curious as to the amount of money (from taxpayers) that is being used for these programs.

While speaking with a friend, an idea came up. He was grieved due to the fact that his finances were short. He told me if only he could recieve his gross paycheck for one month out of a year, he could get himself out of financial debt. We will call this month, the Jubulee Month, in which during that month a person would recieve his gross paycheck without any deductions. This would preferably be the month of his birthday, of which his emplyer would have record of.
