I know that the Car Tax was repealed in 1998, but I still pay a portion of what I would have owed except the State paid the rest. The State's burden is enourmous.

Lately, it seems to shot of amount of volunteer for many tasks such as election. In behavior science 101, we were told that the most effective way to change the behavior is couple punishment with reward. It seems that in our justice system, there is no reward. Once can volunteer and do good deed all his/her life, yet one mistake, you can still get $100 parking ticket. (6 votes) |

Why not let private stores sell the adult beverages. In states that do this the beverages are less because you don't have to pay for State Employees salary, benefits, etc. The state could make more from this while customers enjoy lower prices. (25 votes) |

How come the Virginia court system is designed to auction off children to the high bidder, by granting custody of a child to who ever can pull in the most money in child support? (5 votes) |

Tests have proven that colder work environments hamper or reduce productivity of any given worker. Therefore, temperatures should be raised on air conditioning levels by at least 3 degrees and the state government will not only save on energy but will reap in areas of a more productive workforce. As it is now many state employees have small heaters near their desks to stay warm which uses even more energy. Winter temperatures should be set accordingly. (19 votes) |

While I don't travel a great deal in my job, I work alongside others who do. The amount ot time and effort that they spend getting the right forms completed for travel approval and then to get reimbursed is unbelieveable. I have observed people who spend an entire day trying to get Mapquest information, rental car information, hotels that offer the state rates, etc. While I understand that procedures are in place to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent effeciently for government business, if taxpayers could see the circles that employees run in trying to get approals and (12 votes) |
