Travel by State employees on State vehicles on State time should be reduced throughout all State agencies. Many meetings and a lot of training could be conducted via email and teleconference. Also, operators of State vehicles should obey the law. Example: On Thursday, August 21, 2008, at approximately 7:20 AM, I observed a tan Ford Focus, VA57-5145, with two occupants traveling approximately 70 mph on Hwy. 58 East of Capron, VA. Speeding is a violation of law and a waste of fuel.

Has anyone done a detailed audit on school expenditures, social services, healthcare etc. that illegal immigrants are using in Virginia? I am curious as to the amount of money (from taxpayers) that is being used for these programs. (2 votes) |

Maybe you don't personally want to ever buy a hybrid or gas-electric VOLT or other atlernative vehicle. But if OTHER people switch to alternative fuel vehicles, the demand for gas will go down. You don't have to change your car personally to benefit from a reduction in the number of cars running on gasoline overall. I don't believe in man-made global warming, but I AM TIRED OF SENDING HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO OUR ENEMIES and funding hostile action against ourselves. (7 votes) |

Introduction
Having owned land that is protected by easement for about 13-years, I would like to propose several changes that should make the program work a lot better for all involved. The only beneficiaries of this program are the original grantor/s of the easement, by virtue income tax deductions based on the devaluation of the property. All subsequent owners get no benefits at all.

Suggestion: Introduce a bill requiring motorists who are stopped for using cell phones (not the hands-free phones) to surrender their phones until they pay the ticket. Also, you could require them to either appear in court to retrieve the phone or add an additional charge to mail the phone back to them. (10 votes) |

Currently Virginia offers absentee ballots for citizens who will not be in the area on election day and mail in ballots for those unable to get to the polls. Our Commonweath does not have an early voting opportunity at the polling place to allow citizens greater opportunity for participation. (14 votes) |

While speaking with a friend, an idea came up. He was grieved due to the fact that his finances were short. He told me if only he could recieve his gross paycheck for one month out of a year, he could get himself out of financial debt. We will call this month, the Jubulee Month, in which during that month a person would recieve his gross paycheck without any deductions. This would preferably be the month of his birthday, of which his emplyer would have record of. (7 votes) |

With the USA sending as much as $700 billion overseas to buy foreign oil, conversion of cars, trucks, buses, post office delviery vans, to North American natural gas is very important. One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of filling stations. Virginia could add to existing rest stops along the highways and other locations to fill up natural gas vehicles, to help encourage this transition. Since natural gas evaporates into the air if it gets loose, there is no problem with leakage into the ground. (9 votes) |

As an attorney I listened to a Prince William County General District Court Judge explain in more eloquent terms than I could the horrible mistake made by the Virginia General Assemly on this problem. I was aware of it, but not in the sharp, clear, forceful terms confirmed by this GDC judge in Prince William. (I'm terrible with names or I would name names gladly). (8 votes) |
