Why not let private stores sell the adult beverages. In states that do this the beverages are less because you don't have to pay for State Employees salary, benefits, etc. The state could make more from this while customers enjoy lower prices.

As an attorney I listened to a Prince William County General District Court Judge explain in more eloquent terms than I could the horrible mistake made by the Virginia General Assemly on this problem. I was aware of it, but not in the sharp, clear, forceful terms confirmed by this GDC judge in Prince William. (I'm terrible with names or I would name names gladly). 3.875 Average: 3.9 (8 votes) |

Under Virginia law, a motor scooter with an engine that has a displacement larger than 50 cubic centimeters must be titled as a Motorcycle. DMV staff need better training on this. We had to go to 3 different DMV office locations before we found a DMV office willing to title the 250cc Scooter as a Motorcycle. Please give better training to DMV staff. 2.2 Average: 2.2 (5 votes) |

The Department of Motor Vehicles assigns Demerit Points when you commit a traffic violation. From the DMV Website: "Different violations carry different point assignments, depending on the seriousness of the offense. For example, you will receive three demerit points if you make an improper U-turn. However, you will receive six demerit points if you speed 20 miles per hour or more above the posted speed limit. Demerit points remain valid two years from the date you commit an offense." 2.333335 Average: 2.3 (3 votes) |

It's a noble idea, but needs basic changes to make it workable for people who really need the tax relief it seems to offer. 3 Average: 3 (7 votes) |

Maybe you don't personally want to ever buy a hybrid or gas-electric VOLT or other atlernative vehicle. But if OTHER people switch to alternative fuel vehicles, the demand for gas will go down. You don't have to change your car personally to benefit from a reduction in the number of cars running on gasoline overall. I don't believe in man-made global warming, but I AM TIRED OF SENDING HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO OUR ENEMIES and funding hostile action against ourselves. 3 Average: 3 (7 votes) |

We are facing a budget crisis in our Commonwealth. Layoffs are likely being considered. The disruption to agencies service capacity and peoples lives notwithstanding, it is very expensive (unemployment costs, payment of leave accruals, severance, administrative costs etc) to lay people off. When times improve it is expensive to hire them back again (recruitment, advertising, administrative costs, training). Another cheaper and easily scalable solution that saves money immediately, preserves service capacity and retains knowledgeable workers is to allow voluntary or r 2.25 Average: 2.3 (8 votes) |
