Many localities have chosen to do away with their county windshield stickers. They were/are a pain to put on and a pain to take off. It is time to do the same with the annual inspection sticker. Most inspection stations can't get them on straight and leave a mess when they take them off. Instead, place two small stickers with the month and year at the bottom of the license plate (the same as the registration expiration stickers on the top of the plate). No more window stickers!

Currently Virginia offers absentee ballots for citizens who will not be in the area on election day and mail in ballots for those unable to get to the polls. Our Commonweath does not have an early voting opportunity at the polling place to allow citizens greater opportunity for participation. (14 votes) |

Ever since the creation of VITA, dispite GA disaproval for the agency, By Gov Warner they have been a drain on all other agencies budget. due to the fact that they are a self financing agency they charge upwards to 25% additional for their so called services. This agency has been ripping off other agencies to support themselves. It originally was tasked with a 5% add on to fund themselves but now it is way higher than that. All their employees walk arounf with new laptops and aircards while other agency's personnel use computers that will only run Windows 98.&n (34 votes) |

It is still illegal on the books of Virginia statutes for MARRIED couples to engage in oral sex under Va. Code § 18.2-361 (A).
If married husband and wife play around they are guilty of a Class 6 felony !!!!
Part of that statute deals with some outrageous perversions, but it also makes it a CRIME to simply engage in oral sex or anal sex between ANY male or female person -- even if they are married to each other!!!!
So it is too broad.

We are a small company located in Norfolk VA and we sell biodiesel processors that convert used vegetable oil into biodiesel fuel that can be used to run in ANY type of diesel equipment/vehicle. The state has the resources of used oil and should convert any state vehicles into a biodiesel running car. Biodiesel, on average can be made for under a dollar a gallon and therefore the savings in fuel costs could be spent on other projects for the state. (31 votes) |

This can save MORE than the dangerous mercury light bulbs. These days, any Lowes or Home Depot can sell you a motion-sensing light switch which will turn the lights OFF after there has been no motion for a period of time. NOTE that you can ADJUST the period of time. (Anyone can do it. You just lift up the cover and swivel a screw with a screwdriver.) So there is NO reason for anyone to resist this. The lights then come on again automatically when motion is detected (assuming the light is otherwise switched on). All you have to do is turn off t (9 votes) |

A couple of states have already went to a 4-day work week, while others are submitting proposals to see if this is feasible or not. Make it mandatory for all agencies. Utah is saving 3 million a year. Have you considered how much Virginia could save? It would also cut down on the use of pool vehicles. As high as gas prices are getting, we could use some sort of alternative work plan. (16 votes) |

I suggest that the temperature levels in all of the government buildings I've used are set extremely cold. Tests have proven that colder work environments hamper or reduce productivity of any given worker. Therefore, temperatures should be raised on air conditioning levels by at least 3 degrees and the state government will not only save on energy but will reap in areas of a more productive workforce. As it is now many state employees have small heaters near their desks to stay warm which uses even more energy. Winter temperatures should be set accordingly. (19 votes) |
